At 2:20 p.m. on August 11th, 2000 (when Al Gore and George W. Bush were already in a statistical dead heat) Rich debated a national representative for the Democrats live on national t.v. (on the Fox News Channel). Rich´s message was aimed not at the party faithful, but rather at still undecided "swing" voters.
